What "privacy-first" means: Your resume session is temporary, your data isn't used for AI training, and nothing is stored permanently. Most resume builders require accounts and store your data indefinitely. We don't.
What We Don't Store
- No Account Data: We don't create user accounts, so there's no profile to store or track
- No Audio Recordings: Your voice conversation is processed in real-time and immediately discarded
- No Permanent Transcripts: Conversation transcripts are deleted within 30 minutes of resume delivery
- No Training Data: Your information is never used to train AI models—not ours, not our partners'
- No Payment Card Data: Stripe handles all payment processing; we never see your card information
What We Do Store (Temporarily)
During your session, we temporarily store:
- Session Metadata: Session ID, payment status, and processing state—deleted within 30 minutes
- Transcript: Your conversation with the AI assistant—deleted within 30 minutes of resume delivery
- Resume Data: The structured resume content—deleted within 30 minutes of delivery
- Contact Information: Name, email, phone (optional), LinkedIn (optional)—deleted within 30 minutes
Failed sessions: If your session fails before completion, we retain data for up to 7 days to process refunds and provide support. After that, it's permanently deleted.
Data Retention Timeline
- Immediate: Voice audio is discarded as soon as it's processed
- Within 30 minutes: Successful session data (transcript, resume content, contact info) is automatically deleted
- 7 days: Failed session data is retained only for refund processing, then deleted
- Never: Your data is never used for AI training, marketing, or analytics beyond service delivery
Third-Party Services and Privacy
We use minimal third-party services, each configured for privacy:
- ElevenLabs (Voice Processing): Configured with
train_using_data: false,store_audio: false,store_transcript: false. Audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. - OpenAI (Resume Generation): We send only extracted resume content—never your name, email, phone, or LinkedIn. OpenAI does not train on your data and does not retain it beyond processing.
- Stripe (Payments): We never access or store your payment card information. Stripe handles all payment data according to their security standards.
- Supabase (Temporary Storage): Used only for temporary session data, all of which is automatically deleted within 30 minutes.
Why This Matters for Job Seekers
When you're actively job searching, your resume contains sensitive information:
- Current Employer: You may be searching while employed, and you don't want your current employer discovering your job search
- Personal Contact Information: Your email, phone, and LinkedIn profile shouldn't be stored indefinitely in third-party databases
- Work History Details: Specific projects, achievements, and company information are proprietary and personal
- Career Strategy: The timing and nature of your job search is private information
